One question I’m frequently asked is, “What are some good sales conferences to attend?” Fortunately, more and more sales oriented conferences are taking place. A few I like are CEB Sales & Marketing Summit, Sirius Decisions Summit (being held May 12th-15th in Nashville), and Dreamforce – Salesforce’s premier user conference (which garners around 140,000 registrations and is considered the largest sales conference in the world). Not incidentally, we’ll be hosting our own Smart Selling Tools lounge for 2 days during the September event.

There is another, perhaps somewhat lesser known event that consistently delivers and that is the AA-ISP series of conferences including their annual summit happening next week, February 12th, in S. San Francisco. What I look for in any event, is to hear high-quality content – content that is fresh and informative – and to meet and network with real-life sales leaders. The AA-ISP events have been remarkable in their ability to hit both criteria.

The one-day event is packed with presentations on topics like leadership, coaching, lead generation, and sales productivity. Here’s a little taste of the presentations I’ll be looking forward to hearing:

  1. 8 Sales Training Tips to Avoid Squandering Leads by Steve Richard
  2. BOOM! 4 Explosive Tactics to Accelerate Revenue by Nick Hedges
  3. Sales and Millennials by Bridget Gleason
  4. Leveraging Personal Brand and Professional Networks for Social Selling Results by Jon Ferrara

Along with the presentations, they’ll also have a technology “expo” which includes some of the top tools for inside sales organizations, like, Velocify, VanillaSoft, Yesware, Qvidian, MobilePaks, Tellwise, ClearSlide and ConnectAndSell. It’s your chance to see them in action and ask questions of the vendor representatives. Where else can you get a personal tour of these popular tools in a relaxed environment?

There will be over 20 of the industrie’s top speakers, authors, and industry experts under one roof. And if that wasn’t enough, the last speaker of the day is one who will be sure to motivate. It’s former NFL Player and Motivational Speaker Matt Mayberry. Conferences are a great way to hear ideas, share ideas, learn about technologies and network with peers.
