Does your business success depend on leads? If it does, you’ll want to know how to generate the most leads, how to capture the most leads, how to best score and qualify leads, how to track which leads convert to prospects, and the list goes on.

The Sales Lead Management Association (SLMA) is an online resource for answering these questions and more. It was founded 4 years ago by James Oberhausen, Susan Campanale and Mark Friedman who had a vision for serving the sales lead management community with valuable information and resources. Today, they have more than 4300 members and more than 39,000 unique visitors to their site each year.

Sales Lead Management AssociationMembership to the association is free. You’ll find articles, book reviews, webinars, and an “ask the expert” feature. One of the aspects I find most valuable is their podcast series via their weekly SLMA radio show. Listen at your leisure and learn from a wide variety of speakers.

The initiative I’m most grateful for is the SLMAs commitment to recognizing people who have made significant contributions to the industry. Earlier this year, they named the “20 Women to Watch in Sales Lead Management.”

And last week, they announced their annual nominations for the “50 Most Influential People in Sales Lead Management.”

50 Most Influential

A team of professional researchers thoroughly examine the credentials of one hundred and fifty potential nominees, and query editors from the most popular sales resource venues for their input.

This year Trish Bertuzzi and founder of The Bridge Group, nominated yours truly for consideration. Thank you Trish!

Trish’s company helps inside sales organizations make the big decisions. They assist with implementation strategy, productivity & performance initiatives, processes, technology and tools. She is a frequent speaker and blogger on Inside Sales productivity, trends, and effectiveness, and the author of Building Inside Sales: Framing a Best Practice Group and co-author of Sales Speaks: Perception & Ponderings on Marketing Leads.

And—no surprise here—Trish has also been nominated for the 50 most Influential People in Sales Lead Management.

I know several people who are nominated for recognition by the SLMA because I follow their work, read their blogs, and consider them friends. Among those folks are:

I encourage you to take a minute to visit the SLMA site and have a look around. I’m sure you will find many great resources to take advantage of. And while you’re there, check out and vote for your top 3 choices for the 50 Most Influential award. You’ll need to be a member, but it is free to join and worth the time and effort if your business success depends on leads.
