Next week I’ll be with over 120,000 others at the world’s largest gathering of Salesforce users and solutions providers. Destination–as always–is Moscone Center in San Francisco.

The city will be taken-over by visitors from more than 80 countries around the world clamoring to attend one or more of the 1,500 educational sessions, an expanded Cloud Expo offering 400 exhibitors, a plethora of charity benefits (don’t forget to bring a food donation), and of course the abundance of parties generously hosted by over 20 companies.

More than 150,000 people are expected to register for salesforce.com’s 13th annual Dreamforce conference and more than three million people are expected to join online some of whom will be joining from our very own hosted Dream Lounge.

How can you make the most of your trip? For one, you want to plan your trek through the exhibit hall before you get there. This jaw-dropping stat will help you understand why. Tweet: To visit every #DF15 booth would take the entire 28 hours that the exhibit hall is open – spending just 4.2 min per booth (with no breaks – bio or otherwise).

Fortunately you’re going to plan ahead and figure out which of the exhibitors are important to visit. If you’re interested in sales and marketing solutions, we’ve done the pre-planning for you.

Tweet: Get your @sellingtools walking trail of must-see sales and marketing tools at #df15. It’s all you’ll need at the expo halls.

Simply follow the walking trail stopping in the order provided. You’ll eliminate the aimless wondering heading right to the top sales and marketing solutions. Bookmark the Walking Trail link and use it on your mobile device during the show to navigate the maze and cut-through the riff-raff.

For the expo hall, you’ll want to bring an empty thermos or water bottle. You’ll find water bottle refill stations and believe me, you’ll use them.

What about the 1,500 sessions? The best place to start is the Dreamforce Agenda planner. Sessions fill up quickly so it’s imperative that you register ahead of time.

Here’s a suggestion… come to the Smart Selling Tools Dream Lounge and hear from 18 sales and marketing industry experts in an intimate venue where you can charge your phones at the same time (and get a free LinkedIn head-shot taken by a professional). We’ve got all kinds of fun things planned. The lounge is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 – 3:30 so make it your first stop for coffee and pastries.

Learn Jill Konrath’s secrets for sales success during my fire-side chat with her. Tibor Shanto will share how to leverage an actionable definition of value to engage and sell better. Want to hack your mindset to get amazing sales results, then don’t miss Gerhard Gschwandtner, founder of Selling Power Magazine. Bring your tough questions on hiring, retention, and all things inside sales related for Trish Bertuzzi  and Steve Richard. And you have to see Barry Trailer decode the matrix! (sorry, not THAT one).

Dreamforce is an incredible event! Hope to see you there.

note: If you want free tickets to the Dreamforce Expo, all you have to do is register here.  If you want to attend the sessions and the special events, you’ll need to buy a ticket.
